We make such a good team because we support each other's interests. Ray is such a train fanatic that he can understand my passion for stamping, stitching, etc. He really doesn't get much time to work on the layout in the summer. Too many other things to do - yard and garden work, swimming, hillclimb, picnics --- so the time spent in the basement is limited mostly to rainy days.
The layout is 200 square feet. Ray makes everything from the rocks and trees to the building and the cars. He even uses some of my stamping supplies! He was working on a building and decided to put shades and/or curtains inside the windows so he used some of my cardstock and the tearing edge to give it a torn look. It actually turned out great!
